Originally, this zone was the site of the Imperial Silkworm Warehouse, where silk from all over the country gathered and laid the foundations of modern Japan. Currently, it is being reborn as a mixed-use facility centering around high-rise apartments, hotels, and stores. BankART KAIKO is located on the 1st floor of a restored building of the Imperial Silkworm Warehouse that was born in 1926, with the 2nd floor being a live music venue. Like other BankART facilities, it will serve as an art space, hosting exhibitions, events, shops, and more.
