Originally, this zone was home to the Teisan Silkworm Warehouse, where silk from all over the country was gathered and which laid the foundation for modern Japan. It is currently being reborn as a complex centered around high-rise apartments, hotels, shops, and more. BankART KAIKO is located on the first floor of a restored building that was part of the Teisan Silkworm Warehouse, built in 1926, with a live music venue on the second floor. As with other BankART facilities, it will be an art space that will host exhibitions, events, shops, and more.
