R16 studio

The ruins of the Tokyu Toyoko Line (Yokohama - Sakuragicho Station), which separates the old and new urban areas (Minatomirai). The plan is to convert the upper part of the area, which was once a railroad track, into a promenade by 2021. Under these circumstances, this project is a project to utilize the space under the elevated railway tracks that is currently dormant and insert a studio/atelier for a limited time. It is located in a 16-block, approximately 100m zone extending from the Takashimacho intersection (where the second Yokohama Station was located) towards Sakuragicho. (6 minutes walk from BankART Station) In principle, it will be used as a production space, but it will be open to the public during periods such as open studios and workshops.
