
Opened in March 2003, this museum houses approximately 2,500 archaeological, historical, artistic and ethnographic materials, as well as 25,000 documents, donated to Yokohama by orientalist scholar Namio Egami. The exhibits showcase the cultures of various parts of Eurasia, divided into sections entitled "Desert and Grassland," "Color and Form," "Technique," "Dressing," "Communication," and "Exchange."
