Yokohama Eurasia Culture Center

Opened in March 2003, this museum houses approximately 2,500 archaeological, historical, artistic and ethnographic materials, as well as 25,000 documents, donated to Yokohama by orientalist scholar Namio Egami. The exhibits showcase the cultures of various parts of Eurasia, divided into sections entitled "Desert and Grassland," "Color and Form," "Technique," "Dressing," "Communication," and "Exchange."
[Admission fee] Adults: 200 yen, Elementary and junior high school students: 100 yen

  • 9:30-17:00 (tickets can be issued until 16:30) *Opening hours are extended until 19:00 on weekdays and Wednesdays from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016 (tickets can be issued until 18:30). [Closed] Mondays (or the following weekday if Monday is a national holiday), New Year's holidays (December 28th to January 3rd), etc.
