1 minute walk from the station! Entertainment that travels along the waters of the world
The world of art that you can go, see, and feel
File.29 Kawasui Kawasaki Aquarium

It's the season when I miss the waterside.
I'm not good at swimming, but it makes me feel calm when I see the fish swimming comfortably in the water.
An aquarium has opened to guide everyone who shares such thoughts. The place is in the commercial facility "Kawasaki Le Fron", which is a 1- minute walk from JR Kawasaki Station. First, go to the 10th floor where the ticket counter is located!
There is a day and night section, and the night section is open until 10 o'clock (last admission is one hour before), so you can easily drop in on your way home from work. The cafe next to the entrance sells original soft serve ice cream, popcorn, and Kawasaki craft beer. You can eat and drink in the hall, so it seems fun to enjoy a walk along the water with a beer.
The "prologue" that continues from the entrance depicts a monotone rainforest with chalk art. Suddenly, a tiger appeared through the trees and a colorful bird flew away, so I suddenly shouted "Wow!". The production that makes full use of the latest lighting, audio and video technology is attractive!

The first of the exhibitions consisting of 6 zones is the "Tama River Zone". Yes, the theme is the creatures of the familiar river that flows through the local Kawasaki.
First of all, the three aquariums that you can see show the creatures from upstream to midstream to downstream. In other words, it is a realistic reproduction of the current Tama River ecosystem.
At one point, the water pollution of the Tama River was serious, but in recent years, sweetfish have also started to run up. On the other hand, alien species that have settled down before I knew it were swimming, which made me think about the impact of human life on the river ecosystem.
The image flowing on the back is the scenery of the Tama River taken by actually flying the drone. From the deep green water source down the river to the vicinity of the estuary where the buildings are lined up. I am impressed that the flow of the Tama River is a "journey".
In the following "Oceania Asia Zone", the world's largest Mekong giant catfish and other light colors Not only water fish, but also long-nosed frogs and sugar gliders are exhibited.
Africa is said to be the oldest land in the world, and the creatures are somewhat unique. Experience the wonders of life, such as fish that swim upside down and fish that can live without water.
By the way, a QR code is installed in the exhibition instead of the explanation panel. When this is read with a smartphone or tablet terminal, the names and characteristics of the exhibited creatures are displayed.
In South America, which has the Amazon River, which grows the world's largest rainforest, what you want to pay attention to is the "Pantanal Area," which is called a "treasure of species" and has been registered as a World Heritage Site. In the background of the aquarium, images taken in the Amazon river basin are flowing, and the lighting and sound change depending on the time of day, morning, noon, evening, and night, which is very fantastic.
The huge aquarium, which holds 40 tons of water, displays about 8,000 creatures that sparkle in the water, such as neon tetra. It has a U-shape, so when you stand in the middle, you feel like you are in the water.

Take a break at "Komorebi Cafe" before proceeding to the next zone. There is a photogenic menu such as colorful original sweets and "Pirarucu Coconut Curry" using Amazon fish.
There is also a "kids room" next door.
Next, go to the panoramic screen zone where a dynamic wide-angle screen of 200 degrees spreads. There, the dolphins and manatees that lived on the Amazon River were swimming comfortably.
It's a digital image, but when you get close to the screen, the dolphins will come closer and wave your hands and rotate around! Advanced technology, amazing! Try it out as if you were a dolphin trainer to see what kind of movement it reacts to.
Next is the "Lencois area". It is a vast sand dune that actually exists in Brazil, and countless emerald green lakes appear only during the rainy season. The strange thing is that when a lake appears, so do fish. How do they spend the dry season ...? While looking at the beautiful fish that shine in the white sand, I thought about the mysterious world.

"Agua Lab", where you can get a glimpse of the back of the aquarium, is a project unique to Kawasui. Equipment such as breeding equipment, reserve tanks, rain fog water servers for the Amazon zone, Amazon rain fog units, and filtration circulation pumps are lined up and intriguing. A backyard tour is planned in the future, so please look forward to it.
The "Amazon Zone" is an open space that makes use of the atrium on the 9th to 10th floors. Drinking fountains for creatures are created in the bushes of trees, and capybaras can be seen bathing in the aquarium. The jungle creatures are currently preparing to get used to the environment, but when the exhibition begins, you can see birds flapping in the jungle. Events such as feeding experience to capybara are also planned.
* Please see the official website for the timing of events.
The world's largest freshwater fish, Arapaima gigas and piranhas, swim leisurely in the five aquariums.
Squalls and plants pouring into the rainforestIt seems that the fog that surrounds the Amazon will be reproduced, so I want to "experience" the Amazon with my whole body.
Not limited to the Amazon zone, a touch screen is installed next to the aquarium. This is an exhibition system called "LINNÉ LENS Screen" (developed and provided by Linne Co., Ltd.) that AI analyzes underwater camera images in real time and automatically displays the species names and explanations of creatures in the aquarium. , Kawasui introduced the world's first cutting-edge technology.
Currently, the touch function cannot be used as a countermeasure against corona, but it is very epoch-making to be able to check the information of creatures swimming in the aquarium in real time!
The last fun is "Kawasui Official Shop".
Unique to Kawasui, including unique original productsThere are a lot of special goods from Ha. Even those who do not enter the aquarium can use it, so it would be fun to visit to look for new Kanagawa souvenirs.
In Kawasui "congestion lamp": to introduce the (development and provision Co., Ltd. Rokogaido) service, "crowded somewhat" the congestion status of the aquarium "free" official website in three stages of "crowded", Kawasuiapuri, "Kawasaki iodosulfuron" the first floor Delivered in real time to the LED screen. In addition, we will take preventive measures against infection with the new coronavirus. Please refer to the Kawasui official website for details.

It's a little different from an aquarium or a zoo.
This is a "waterside oasis" where living creatures from all over the world gather.
From the Tama River to Asia, Africa, and the far South American Amazon.
A small adventure begins, where you can take a walk around the waters of the world and experience a little and mysterious everyday life.
Welcome to unique creatures and inexperienced entertainment created by light, sound and images.
