Yokohama Nigiwaiza was established as a specialized hall for popular entertainment such as rakugo, manzai, and street performance. Yokohama was once a city lined with theaters and vaudeville halls, bustling with activity every day. Yokohama Nigiwaiza has continued to carry on the traditions of the past, as a place for people to enjoy entertainment and a place for the creation of new entertainment.
