The Hiratsuka Museum of Art has received a donation of works, sketches, and materials by Kitazawa Eigetsu (born in Kyoto, 1907-1990), a Japanese painter who was active at the Japan Art Academy.
Taking this opportunity, we are holding our first retrospective exhibition in 33 years, looking back on Eigetsu's artistic career from his early years to his later years through approximately 100 pieces, including his representative works and valuable materials.
