Our Literature Museum opened in 1984. During this time, we have focused on literary exhibitions, including large-scale exhibitions by genre, such as popular literature, children's literature, and poetry, as well as exhibitions by individual authors such as Natsume Soseki, Akutagawa Ryunosuke, Izumi Kyoka, the Arishima Brothers, Mushanokoji Saneatsu, Kawabata Yasunari, Dazai Osamu, Yoshikawa Eiji, and Yamamoto Shugoro, and literary walks through Kanagawa Prefecture, including Kamakura, Yokohama, and Kawasaki. We have also held over 50 special exhibitions, including permanent exhibitions.
