
Yokohama Rapport, a sports and cultural center for persons with disabilities (hereinafter referred to as "Yokohama Rapport"), opened on August 28, 1992 as a facility to commemorate the final year of the United Nations Decade of Disabled Persons, based on the ideal of the International Year of Disabled Persons, which was to realize "full participation and equality" for persons with disabilities.
The center aims to promote the health and social participation of people with disabilities through sports, recreation, and cultural activities, and as a core facility in the city, it aims to actively promote citizen interaction through the active participation of people with disabilities and to widely develop these activities.
