DANCE HOUSE plans and operates a business specializing in the development of a professional dance environment and the development of all kinds of dance-related creators.
Eri Karatsu (Senior Producer, Aichi Prefectural Art Theater) serves as artistic director, and for the development of dance, which is a complex art, not only artists such as choreographers and dancers, but also musicians, visual artists, filmmakers, lighting designers, and sound designers. , and aims to be a hub for interaction among producers, production staff, critics, researchers, and audiences.
Dance Base Yokohama has been nicknamed DaBY so that it will become a magnetic field = platform where many people around dance can gather without barriers. In addition to being a residency space for creation, we plan to develop further diverse experiments such as interacting with local artists and citizens, holding workshops, experimental tryout performances, and a dance archive project.
