A full-fledged comprehensive theater that harmonizes European tradition with state-of-the-art stage equipment.
When designing a theater, we prioritize beautiful, natural acoustics and a sense of unity between the stage and the audience seats. Inheriting the tradition of the era when European opera theaters were at their most brilliant, this full-fledged theater with horseshoe-shaped seating, a rarity in Japan, was born. With a stage with ample space and equipment and functions that are among the highest in Japan, this theater is capable of staging a wide variety of performing arts, including opera, ballet, and musicals. At this theater, students gain practical experience by participating in various performances and creating the stages for them. In preparation for performances that require acoustic correction by equipment, we have adopted a ``Wavefront Sculpture Speaker System'' as the main speaker in the house, which is primarily intended for acoustic correction and produces almost no sound field differences due to phase interference. It can accurately represent everything from operas that require fine and detailed sounds to general music performances that require a specific volume.
