
Located on the 6th floor of the Sogo Yokohama department store, the Sogo Museum of Art is the first museum within a department store to be registered under the Museum Act (registration number: Kanagawa No. 22) and opened on September 30, 1985. The museum houses approximately 200 oil paintings and watercolors by artists such as Suzuki Shintaro. Exhibitions feature a wide range of works from Japan and abroad, including Western-style paintings, Japanese paintings, crafts, sculptures, prints, calligraphy, and photography.
