ST Spot Yokohama (formerly ST Spot Management Committee) was organized by volunteer citizens as the management organization for the small space "ST Spot" opened by Yokohama City in November 1987.
In April 2000, ST Spot Yokohama organized a board of directors, and in June 2004, it acquired corporate status and established the ``NPO ST Spot Yokohama'' (hereinafter referred to as NPO ST Spot Yokohama). With the opening of ST Spot, local theater activities rapidly became active. Since then, it has become a base for young artists in dance, music, video, and art. Our organization is engaged in efforts to organically expand these creative activities, such as business development, provision of information services, and network building, expanding the base of performing arts locally and domestically, and producing many young talents. . In April 2004, we established an art education project. Focusing on collaboration with the government, we are developing projects specializing in art education, such as dispatching artists to schools as instructors, training professional human resources, and developing programs, in order to foster the healthy development of children and popularize art. Although it is the smallest in the city, ST Spot, which has great potential, is positioned as a new operating model for public and private theaters, and continues to operate as a non-profit organization responsible for promoting the arts in a broad sense.
