Applications are now being accepted for projects eligible for the Kanagawa Prefecture MagCul Development Promotion Subsidy for fiscal year 2023!

令和5年度 神奈川県マグカル展開促進補助金 対象事業を募集します!

In order to promote the development of "Magical," the prefecture has established a subsidy program to provide funds to private organizations for new cultural and artistic projects, and is now accepting applications.
*What is Magcal?
The prefecture is promoting "magnet culture," which aims to attract people with the appeal of culture and art and create vibrancy in the region.
We are promoting the initiative known as "MagCal" for short.

1. Overview of the subsidy
[Name] Kanagawa Prefecture Magcal Development Promotion Subsidy
[Target Parties] Private organizations (including voluntary associations)
[Target Projects] New cultural and artistic projects implemented within the prefecture and open to the general public.
[Project Implementation Period] From April 28, 2023 to March 29, 2024
[Subsidy Rate, etc.] Regular projects: Subsidy rate of one-third, maximum amount of 1 million yen.
Priority projects: Pioneering projects, collaboration projects between seniors and people with disabilities. Subsidy rate: 1/2, maximum amount: 3 million yen.
Traditional performing arts projects, youth talent development projects: Subsidy rate 1/3, maximum amount 3 million yen.

3. Explanatory video and online consultation session

[Explanatory Video] We will upload an explanatory video for organizations considering applying. (Scheduled to be uploaded by noon on March 2, 2023)
[Online consultation session]
We will hold a consultation session using online conferencing tools where staff members will answer your questions.
Participation requires access to ZOOM. You are free to join and leave the meeting at any time during the scheduled period.
- The format involves soliciting questions through chat and comments during the online meeting and answering them in order.
The content will be made public to participants.
This will be implemented jointly through the MagCul Development Promotion Subsidy and the Cultural and Artistic Activity Organization Project Subsidy.
Questions that could not be answered within the allotted time will be addressed later by posting the answers on our website.

Second session: Tuesday, March 7, 2023, from 18:30 to 19:30
