「ベトナムフェスタin神奈川2023」

Do you know how many Vietnamese people live in Japan?
The number of foreign residents in Japan has exceeded 3 million for the first time, of which approximately 490,000 are Vietnamese (data as of the end of 2022).
In Kanagawa Prefecture, where approximately 240,000 foreigners from 176 different countries and regions live, the second largest group by nationality is Vietnamese, with approximately 29,000 people living there (data as of January 1, 2023).

The year 2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam (diplomatic relations were established on September 21, 1973).
Taking advantage of this opportunity, the Vietnam Festa in Kanagawa, which has been held since 2015, will be held from September 9th to September 10th to promote future development and mutual understanding between Kanagawa Prefecture and Vietnam.

We have prepared a variety of programs for visitors to participate and interact with each other while fully experiencing Vietnamese culture and charm, and we hope to further deepen exchanges and bonds between Kanagawa Prefecture and Vietnam for the future.
