Special Exhibition: "Unprecedented Light from a Country That No Longer Exists: Female Photographers from East Germany"

The Hayama Museum, the third building of the Kanagawa Prefectural Museum of Modern Art, was completed in March 2003 and opened in October of the same year. It boasts a diverse range of facilities, including exhibition rooms with varying ceiling heights and lighting environments, an art library aiming to be a hub for collecting materials and disseminating information, an auditorium with audiovisual equipment, and a storage facility showcasing the pinnacle of preservation techniques. To encourage people to enjoy the museum in their daily lives, the entrance hall, courtyard, restaurant, museum shop, garden, and even the art library on the basement floor are all accessible free of charge.
