Sneak into an artistic space!

Enjoy a comfortable artistic moment while looking out over Yokohama Port
Zou-no-hana Terrace

Zou-no-hana Terrace is located in Zou-no-hana Park, which has historical remains and was named ``Zou-no-hana'' because of the shape of the wharf seen from the air.

The port opened on June 2, 2009, with the aim of becoming a ``base where various people and cultures meet, connect, and create new culture.'' A comfortable rest house with an art space overlooking Yokohama Port.

A large elephant greets us at the entrance. It is a symbol of dialogue and vitality that continues to reflect on Yokohama's 150th anniversary and will powerfully guide Yokohama and humanity into the future.

Poetry works are displayed in the large windows facing the sea on Zou-no-hana Terrace. It seems that this work was born as an opportunity to become involved with the city.

The stools, which were co-created by children in Yokohama and Finnish artist Katia Tukiainen, are also cute.

There are also flyers for art events held in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Tokyo, and other nearby areas. There is also a ``ZOU-NO-HANA LIBRARY,'' where you can enjoy reading art books and picture books on the terrace while drinking tea.

You can also purchase products from the miscellaneous goods brand ``Slow Label,'' which was born from a project that connects facilities and companies for people with disabilities in Yokohama City with artists active in Japan and abroad to create products that make use of their unique characteristics and create new mechanisms. Everything is one-of-a-kind handmade.

There is also a cafe where you can enjoy the popular Zounohana soft serve ice cream and Zounohana beer, making it a space where everyone from children to adults can have a fun time.

Zou-no-hana Terrace regularly hosts permanent art exhibitions, special exhibitions, theater projects, workshops, and marches.

ZOU-SUN-MARCHE
With the theme of "A happy Sunday spent at Elephant's Trunk," this is a "connected marche" where encounters, conversations, and fun discoveries are born. There are lots of delicious, cute, and exciting things.

ZOU-NO-HANA BENTO PROJECT
The 10th of every month is bento day. At 12 o'clock on weekdays, a bento box will appear on Zou-no-hana Terrace. People working in the surrounding area gather at Zou-no-hana Terrace with their lunch boxes in hand!

ATELIER ZOU-NO-HANA
A workshop program for children that fosters children's creativity and flexible thinking. We invite artists of various genres from Japan and abroad, and foster children's rich sensibilities through communication with the artists.

THEATER ZOU-NO-HANA
A performing arts program run by Zou-no-hana Terrace. The director and choreographer created a production that uses theatrical techniques to weave together the history, scenery, people and time inherent within Zou-no-Hana Park.

SNACK ZOU-NO-HANA
``Snack Zounohana'' is a salon that aims to be a terrace that is more open to citizens and creates opportunities for people to meet and interact. This creates an opportunity for artists to become moms/masters and interact directly with visitors over a drink.

ENJOY ZOU-NO-HANA
We have been working on the development of urban tourism content that utilizes the creativity of artists, which was commissioned in 2009. A variety of signwork will be created to enhance the presence of Zou-no-hana Terrace, as well as a variety of art programs that will suggest ways to play at Zou-no-hana Park.

Other unique events are held irregularly, such as ``Picnic Live'', ``Seaside Library'', ``Seaside Concert'', and ``Lecture + Tour Series: The Story of Elephant Nose's First Story''. While strolling along the coast of Yokohama, please stop by Zou-no-hana Terrace. A wonderful encounter that can only be found here is waiting for you.
