Yokosuka Museum of Art

Yokosuka Museum of Art

This art museum is located in the scenic Kannonzaki area on the eastern tip of the Miura Peninsula. In addition to six special exhibitions per year, the museum also holds rotating exhibitions of modern and contemporary Japanese art in its collection, and the annex, the Taniuchi Rokuro Gallery, showcases works by artist Taniuchi Rokuro, who portrayed Japan's Showa period. The museum's attractions include its natural surroundings, unique architecture, and stunning views of Tokyo Bay, which have earned it the distinction of being one of the most scenic art museums in Japan. The museum also has a wide range of facilities, including a restaurant where you can enjoy Italian cuisine made with local ingredients, and a museum shop.

Access: Take the Keikyu Bus bound for Kannonzaki from Maborikaigan Station on the Keikyu Line, get off at La Vista Kannonzaki Terrace/Yokosuka Museum of Art and walk for 2 minutes
