This art museum was built in the scenic Kannonzaki area on the eastern tip of the Miura Peninsula. In addition to six special exhibitions per year, the museum holds rotating exhibitions of modern and contemporary Japanese art at its collection, and the annex, the Taniuchi Rokuro Museum, features works by Taniuchi Rokuro, an artist who depicted Japan's Showa period. Its attractions include a natural environment, unique architecture, and an outstanding view overlooking Tokyo Bay that has led to it being selected as a museum with a spectacular view. There are also many adjoining facilities, such as a restaurant where you can enjoy Italian food made with local ingredients, and a museum shop.
Access: Take the Keikyu Bus bound for Kannonzaki from Maborikaigan Station on the Keikyu Line, get off at La Vista Kannonzaki Terrace/Yokosuka Museum of Art and walk for 2 minutes
