Yokohama Noh Theater and Taiwan's Guo Guang Theater took on the challenge of co-producing ``Shuyu Yum.'' The works created by artists representing various fields while traveling back and forth between Japan and Taiwan have finally been completed. Based on the classic Kun opera work "Shujuki", it is a fusion of Japanese shamisen music.
Starring Wen Yuhang, a top Kun opera star who is active internationally while affiliated with the Guo Guang Theater Company. Her opponent is the rising young star, Liu Jiahou. For the music, Tokiwazu shamisen player Mojibe Tokiwazu will serve as music director, composer, and performer, and Nagauta players Mijiro Imafuji, Hideko Kineya, and Masataka Imafuji will be participating from Japan. We will perform with the musicians of the Kuniko Theater Company. The production will be directed by Wang Chia-ming, a leading figure in Taiwan's contemporary scene. In addition, the performance will include scenes from the famous Kun Opera pieces ``Peony Pavilion'' (9th) and ``Shujuki'' (17th), as well as famous Japanese dance pieces ``Fuji Musume'' (9th) and ``Shiokumi'' (17th). will be performed.
