Kanagawa Prefecture is supporting the resumption of cultural and artistic activities! <Applications for new subsidies> Deadline: August 7th (Friday)!
In Kanagawa Prefecture, in order to accelerate the resumption of cultural and artistic activities that had been suspended to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are soliciting applications for projects that will establish cultural and artistic activities under the "new lifestyle" with infection prevention measures in place. Subsidies will be provided after review and selection. In addition to events that have been popular in each region, we will also actively adopt highly innovative projects that use unprecedented ideas and means of expression, so please apply.
* "MagCul": The prefecture is promoting Magnet Culture, or "MagCul" for short, an initiative that attracts people with the appeal of culture and art and creates vibrancy in the region.
Subsidies of up to 1.5 million yen are available for infection control measures in cultural and artistic activities.
To accelerate the resumption of cultural and artistic activities, we will provide subsidies of up to 1.5 million yen for cultural and artistic events held under the "new lifestyle" that incorporates measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
[Application Period] July 20th (Mon) to August 7th (Fri), 2020
*Based on the application documents, the recipient of the subsidy and the amount of the grant will be determined after review and selection.
[Target fields] All cultural and artistic activities
[Applicants] Organizations or individual businesses that have a track record of conducting cultural and artistic activities open to the general public within the prefecture between January 1, 2019 and February 25, 2020.
[Eligible Projects] Cultural and artistic activities implemented within the prefecture with infection control measures in place, from the date of grant approval (scheduled for September 16, 2020) to February 28, 2021.
[Eligible Expenses] Expenses required to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (including video streaming costs, new costs incurred to avoid crowding on stage, PCR testing costs, disinfection costs and other consumables, and a portion of the usage fees when using larger venues to ensure social distancing for audience members, etc.)
