The Kurihama Perry Festival is an event commemorating the arrival of Commodore Perry. The 2024 fireworks display, which will mark the 171st anniversary of the landing of Commodore Perry's Black Ships in Kurihama, will be powered up to about 5,000 fireworks.

●The 35th Odawara Sakagawa Fireworks Festival

Scheduled date: Saturday, August 3rd
Venue: Sakawagawa Sports Ground (Odawara)
Number of launches: Approximately 10,000

The "Sakawa River Fireworks Festival" is held on the riverbed of the Sakawa River. Every year, the most popular attractions are the 30m high, 300m long Niagara that crosses the Sakawa River along the Odawara Ohashi Bridge, and the "Music Fireworks" that synchronize the fireworks with music.

●78th Atsugi Ayu Festival Fireworks Display

Scheduled date: Saturday, August 3rd
Venue: Sagami River riverbed (confluence of three rivers) [Atsugi]

This is the main event of the Atsugi Ayu Festival, which is held over two days in Atsugi City. Number of launches: Approximately 20,000

●The 44th Miura Beach Summer Festival Fireworks Display

Scheduled date: Wednesday, August 7th
Venue: Miura Beach [Miura]
Number of launches: Approximately 2,000

This is a summer tradition held every year in Miura City. The highlight of the fantastic seaside fireworks show is the collaboration between the colorfully sparkling sea surface and the fireworks. There are also plenty of local food and drink booths and food stalls, so you can enjoy the local culture and food. ●72nd Shonan Hiratsuka Fireworks Festival

Venue: Shonan Itako (Sagami River estuary) [Hiratsuka]
Number of launches: Approximately 3,000 (planned)

This fireworks festival, held in Hiratsuka City, colors the summer of Shonan. ●The 50th Kanazawa Festival Fireworks Display

Venue: Sea Park, Kanazawa Ward, Yokohama [Yokohama]
Number of launches: Approximately 3,500

The Kanazawa Festival Fireworks Display is held at Umi no Park on the fourth Saturday of August every year. This year marks the 50th anniversary, and the display will include a barrage of star mines, celebratory fireworks, and the Kanazawa ward mascot, Botan-chan Fireworks, to liven up the event. Another great thing about the display is that it's free to enter, and anyone can sit on the beach or the grass in the park and watch the fireworks.
