Double Planet
Episode 10: "I Have Business in the Night Sky"
Tamaru Luka (Furuta Jun & Kanda Yota / Radio Shonan Personality)

We were walking, neither side by side, nor far apart. We maintained a distance that could be described as subtle and exquisite. If we were to assume that what he was saying was true, then he was none other than Satoru Blue, a listener of "Love & Music," or in other words, Aono Satoru. The moment I heard that, my mind went blank. I couldn't believe that something like this was happening to me. I also thought to myself. Maybe he was actually an important character in a reality show, and I just hadn't been informed. I looked around me in 360 degrees just to be sure, but there were no cameras that looked like cameras.

"If it's okay...can I come with you?"

When I said I was going to the beach, Aono-kun said he wanted to go too. I actually wanted to go alone, but I was worried about him after he had dived off the platform and fallen, so it wasn't the kind of atmosphere where I could refuse.

"It's fine though."

A cold reply. A completely cold response.
As I began to walk, Aono-kun followed quietly behind me.

There was also the awkwardness of replying via Twitter message, "I can't meet you."
I thought I had said we couldn't meet, but somehow we ended up meeting.
In the end, I didn't receive any reply from Aono after that, so only he knows what he's thinking.
Maybe deep down she's angry. Maybe she thinks I'm just a good girl trying not to meet the opposite sex so easily. Of course, I don't have the courage to question her about it.

While watching the cars coming and going, I crossed National Route 134 and walked down the sandy steps leading to the beach. No matter how many times I experience this sensation, my heart still beats faster. It's coming! It's coming! My sense of anticipation grows.

As I stepped onto the sand with both feet, the setting sun drew a straight golden road on the surface of the sea.

"...Amazing."

Aono-kun muttered with a sigh. He quickly took out his smartphone from his pocket and pointed the camera at the sunset. As I was watching that, I couldn't help but say it.

"I don't think it will come out beautifully because of the backlight."
"Huh? Is that so?"

Aono-kun pressed the shutter button half in disbelief. He immediately checked the photo and showed it to me with a wry smile. As expected, the setting sun was reflecting off the photo in a diffuse manner, making it hard to understand what was in it.

"It's as Tamaru-san says."
"I don't think a machine can preserve this beauty."
"It seems so."
"If you don't want to forget, you have no choice but to burn it into your memory."

Huh? I'm having a normal conversation with Aono-kun.
I thought I was on guard, but before I knew it, I had disarmed myself as the sun set.

"It was my first time seeing the sun setting into the ocean."

It didn't sound like something someone born and raised in this town would say.

"Aren't you going to the beach or something?"
"Yeah. It's been a while since I last looked up at the sky like this."

Sky.

I don't know if Aono-kun said "sky" on purpose.
But just now, he definitely said "sky."
I wonder if he's planning on touching on that topic from here on out.

"Why did you come here, Tamaru-san?"

In fact, after reading the script for "Sora to Puzzle" with Natsuki, we found some points that needed to be revised. The script was incomplete as it was. That was the opinion that Natsuki and I both shared. That's why I came here looking for hints. To make our "Sora to Puzzle" better.

Today I have business in the night sky.

"The sun has set."

Aono-kun said it aloud exactly as he saw it.
Is he a thoughtful person, or a childish person? I can't quite grasp that.
But the sun certainly did set.
Soon the orange color will disappear and the sky will turn dark blue.

"Don't you want to hear about 'Sky and Puzzles' from me?"

I was getting impatient so I brought it up myself.

"I agree"

Isn't that right? Eh, it's someone else's problem?
After saying that, Aono-kun shut his mouth like a clam and fell silent immediately.
I was a little annoyed at first.
Even though I was the one who made the first move, it's already my turn?
It seemed like this guy had a very spoiled upbringing.
Yes, yes, I see. You want me to tell you. I get it. I get it.

"You can talk to me."
"Eh, is that okay?! Really?!!"

Aono-kun's excitement level rose to a new level and he looked over at me, standing next to him.
Turns out he was just waiting for me to bring it up.
can not forgive.
Even though he wrote such passionate things in his message, he was so naive and dependent on others.
can not forgive.
Don't think important information is that easy to get.
I wanted to test his sincerity.

"I'll talk to you, but on one condition."
"conditions?"
"I can tell you at night."
"picture……"
"If you can wait here with me until night."

"to be continued"
