Howahowa x Takutaku Yamamoto "Pu-pa-po Time"
Users of the Howahowa Community Activity Support Center, run by the Yokohama Kyoseikai Social Welfare Corporation in Asahi Ward, Yokohama, and Suguru Yamamoto, a playwright and director from the theatre group Hanchu Yuei, took on the challenge of creating a theatrical production.
While deepening communication through workshops such as theater games, Taku Yamamoto discussed with the users about the setting of the play and the roles they would like to play, and wrote two scripts this year, "Howahowa's Crispness" and "Howahowa's Pori-Pori." This video is a documentary that includes footage of Howahowa's daily activities, script readings at workshops, and an interview with Taku Yamamoto. Narration is provided by voice actress Mika Kanai.
Please come and see our users experiencing theater and enjoying communication with each other.
