【逗子・葉山】京急で行く!ランチ&芸術めぐり

Keikyu Railway connects Tokyo to Haneda Airport, and then to Kawasaki, Yokohama, and the Miura Peninsula. This time, we'll be taking a stroll around Zushi and Hayama using the "Hayama Girls' Trip Ticket" currently on sale on Keikyu. We'll be introducing eye-catching cafe lunches and nearby art spots.

Relax and unwind on a unique train journey

The "Hayama Girls' Trip Ticket" is a great value one-day ticket that includes a round-trip ticket on the Keikyu Line, a free pass on the Keikyu Bus, a "selectable meal ticket" and a "selectable reward ticket." Although it's called a "girls' trip," anyone can purchase and use it, not just women. You can enjoy a resort atmosphere on a day trip to Zushi and Hayama, relaxing on the train.

When you get off the train, we recommend having lunch using your "Selectable Meal Coupon."
There are many local dishes on the menu, including Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine, so you might be overwhelmed. For example, Seedling Kitchen Zushi, a six-minute walk from Zushi Station, is a small cafe restaurant that serves dishes made with plenty of local vegetables. It has a reputation for serving healthy meals that are kind to the body.

This sign is the landmark of the store, and it is imbued with the idea of growing like a seedling. The Seedling Set, which can be ordered with the "Hayama Girls' Trip Ticket," includes a main dish, a side dish, brown rice with black rice, and vegetable salt-koji soup. The popular "Hata no Wappa" (Wrapping rice in a field) can also be selected as one of the main dishes.

Owner Kanae Takahashi places great importance on the appearance of the food.
Takahashi believes that if customers are excited when they first encounter the food, the meal will be more enjoyable, and if the food is delicious, it may lead them to wonder, "Where are these vegetables from?" or "Where can I buy them?" and become interested in the farmers from whom they purchase the food.

The vegetables that add colour to the dishes are sourced from the Miura Peninsula and Kamakura.
We purchase from farmers we trust after seeing the seedlings and talking to them at the morning market, such as SHO Farm, which grows crops without pesticides or chemical fertilizers, and HOSOYA FARM, which produces colorful vegetables.

Takahashi said, "The color that is the concept of Seedling Kitchen would not be possible without the farmers' vegetables. We have some young, adventurous farmers, and when we tell them what vegetables we would like to use, they are flexible and say, "I'll try making it, even if they have never grown it before!" It really helps us out. We would like to continue to maintain close ties with our farmers."

"The word 'delicious' is the best reward," says Takahashi. Seedling Kitchen hopes to be a bridge that connects people with vegetables, and the food served here is sure to be a special treat for both your eyes and tongue.
