From Shonan! 'Double Planet': A collaboration between radio and the web.

湘南発!ラジオとWEBがコラボする『Double Planet』

Double Planet
Episode 0: Greetings
Jun Furuta & Yota Kanda (Radio Shonan personalities)

Hello, my name is Jun Furuta.
Today, I'd like to introduce myself in preparation for the new series that will start next month.
First of all, who exactly are we...?

I usually run a theater company while also working as a playwright and director.

And, through a fortunate connection, I'm now working as a radio personality at a radio station in Kanagawa Prefecture alongside musician Yota Kanda (Bluestone).

The program in question is "Love & Music," a music variety show broadcast every Saturday from 5 PM on Fujisawa City's community FM station, "Radio Shonan FM 83.1."
This year marks the 16th year since the program began.

That's right, thanks to everyone's support, it's been a fairly long-running program.

Thanks to the chemical reaction between Yota Kanda's sensibilities and Jun Furuta's sensibilities, this program, created by two forward-thinking individuals who generate something from nothing, has given rise to many radio-based "songs" and "radio dramas."

Furthermore, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Radio Shonan's opening, they launched "Shonan Sound Connection (SSC)," an event aimed at enlivening Shonan through music, community, and connections with people. Radio Shonan, which continues to broadcast from the heart of Shonan, and Bluestone teamed up, and Bluestone held Vol.0 in November 2016.

Following its highly successful inaugural performance, SSC has involved many artists and grown into a larger and larger event with each subsequent run.
Kanda was the vocalist for the Radio Shonan Band, which he formed with station personalities Kyoko Tomita (formerly of Princess Princess) and Hideyuki Kadono (TUBE). Furuta was in charge of the script and direction for Vol.3 and Vol.EX.

The event has currently reached Vol. 5 and is continuing.

On the other hand, our show has featured guests from a wide variety of fields.

Kyoko Tomita (former Princess Princess)
Hideyuki Sumino (TUBE)
Reiji Matsumoto (TUBE)
Teruhisa Kitahara
Ryuichi Kawakami (Big Japan Pro Wrestling), and others

Additionally, the following individuals appear in the interview recording conducted by Yota Kanda.

Nobuteru Maeda (TUBE)
Ryu Si-won
Anri

*Titles omitted, in no particular order.

In addition, as a program that brings together various artists from different fields, we have delivered everything from lighthearted conversations to in-depth discussions about expression.

This time, we thought it would be great if we could create a series that reflects who we are, so we're starting this project.
Titled
"Double Planet" is a serialized novel linked to the radio program "Love & Music".

Yes, it's in novel style.
The main characters of this story are Satoru Aono, a first-year high school student living in Kanagawa Prefecture who aspires to a career in music, and Ruka Tamaru, a first-year high school student who aspires to a career in theater.
The two attend different high schools, unaware of each other's existence, and live their lives struggling with self-expression.
One Saturday evening, the two of them start listening to the radio program "Love & Music," and that's when a new chapter begins for them.

A new series that blends fiction with reality.
We plan to supplement our collaboration with the program by using the newly launched program Facebook page .

A mixed project featuring radio and serialized columns set in Kanagawa Prefecture.
Stay tuned!
