Pokémon is coming to Minato Mirai this summer!

The Pokémon World Championships 2023, a global tournament to decide the world champions of "Pokémon Scarlet & Violet," "Pokémon Trading Card Game," "Pokémon GO," and "Pokémon Unite," will be held in Japan for the first time in 2023. Many players from around the world will participate in the fierce battles to reach the pinnacle of Pokémon battling, and the location will be Yokohama.

To commemorate this event, the "Pokémon World Championships 2023 Yokohama Minato Mirai Event" (WCS Yokohama Minato Mirai Event) will be held around the "Pokémon World Championships 2023" venue from Tuesday, August 8th to Monday, August 14th.

What is the Pokémon World Championships 2023?
The Pokémon World Championships 2023 is a global tournament for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon Unite. Many players from around the world will participate in the tournament, and fierce battles will be held to determine the world champion.
This year, in 2023, the event will be held at Pacifico Yokohama in Kanagawa from August 11th (Friday, public holiday) to August 13th (Sunday).

Pokemon Summer Festival Park

The Pokemon Summer Festival will be held at Yokohama Rinko Park. At this event, you can enjoy lively festival stalls related to the "Pokemon" series of games. For example, there will be activities such as "Magikarp fishing" and "Pokeball throwing", and participants can enjoy experiencing the world of Pokemon.

In addition, a large tower will be set up at the venue and a Bon Odori dance will be held. All participants will dance along to the music, arranged with the world of Pokémon, and the taiko drums.

Pokémon Trainer's Cruise

The passenger ship Nippon Maru will be open for a limited time as a special "Pokémon Trainer Cruise."
On the Pokémon Trainer Cruise, there are many spaces on board where Pokémon trainers from all over the world can interact with each other. Participants can bring their own Nintendo Switch and Pokémon card game decks and enjoy battling and trading Pokémon in a casual atmosphere.
