Pokémon is coming to Minato Mirai this summer!

The Pokémon World Championships 2023, a global tournament to determine the world champions of "Pokémon Scarlet & Violet," "Pokémon Trading Card Game," "Pokémon GO," and "Pokémon Unite," will be held in Japan for the first time in 2023. Many players from around the world will participate in fierce battles to reach the pinnacle of Pokémon battling, and the venue will be Yokohama.

To commemorate this event, the "Pokémon World Championships 2023 Yokohama Minato Mirai Event" (WCS Yokohama Minato Mirai Event) will be held around the venue of the "Pokémon World Championships 2023" from Tuesday, August 8th to Monday, August 14th.

What is the Pokémon World Championships 2023?
The Pokémon World Championships 2023 is a global tournament for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon Unite. Many players from around the world will participate in heated battles to become the world champion.
This year, in 2023, the event will be held at Pacifico Yokohama in Kanagawa from August 11th (Friday, national holiday) to August 13th (Sunday).

Pokemon Summer Festival Park

The Pokémon Summer Festival will be held at Yokohama Rinko Park. At this event, you can enjoy lively festival stalls based on the Pokémon series games. For example, there will be activities such as "Magikarp fishing" and "Poké Ball throwing," allowing participants to have fun while experiencing the world of Pokémon.

In addition, a large stage will be set up at the venue, and a Bon Odori dance will be held. Everyone can join in the fun and dance to the background music, which incorporates the world of Pokémon, and the music of Japanese drums.

Pokémon Trainer's Cruise

The passenger ship Nippon Maru will be open for a limited time as a special Pokémon Trainer's Cruise.
The Pokémon Trainers Cruise will have plenty of space on board for Pokémon Trainers from all over the world to interact with each other. Participants can bring their own Nintendo Switch and Pokémon card game decks and enjoy Pokémon battles and trading in a casual atmosphere.

*Parking spaces in the surrounding area are limited, so please use public transportation when visiting.
