Pokémon are coming to Minato Mirai this summer!!

The Pokémon World Championships 2023, a world tournament to determine the world champions of Pokémon Scarlet Violet, Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon Unite, will be held in Japan for the first time. Yokohama will be the venue for many players from all over the world to participate in fierce battles to reach the pinnacle of Pokémon battles.

To commemorate this event, the "Pokémon World Championships 2023 Yokohama Minato Mirai Event" (WCS Yokohama Minato Mirai Event) will be held from August 8th (Tue) to 14th (Mon) around the venue of the "Pokémon World Championships 2023".

What is the "Pokémon World Championships 2023"?
The Pokémon World Championships 2023 is a world tournament for Pokémon Scarlet Violet, Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon Unite. Many players from all over the world will participate, engaging in fierce battles to become the world champion.
This year's event, 2023, will be held at Pacifico Yokohama in Kanagawa Prefecture, from August 11th (Friday, public holiday) to August 13th (Sunday).

To commemorate the hosting of the Pokémon World Championships 2023 in Japan, various events will be held mainly in Yokohama Minato Mirai. In addition to a parade and summer festival featuring many Pokémon,

Pokémon Summer Festival Park

A Pokémon summer festival will be held at Yokohama Rinko Park. This event will feature lively festival stalls themed after the Pokémon series games. For example, there will be activities such as "Magikarp fishing" and "Poké Ball throwing," allowing participants to experience the world of Pokémon while having fun.

Furthermore, a large stage will be set up at the venue, where a Bon Odori dance will be held. Let's all enjoy dancing the Bon Odori together to the accompaniment of arranged background music incorporating the world of Pokémon and the performance of Japanese taiko drums.

Pokémon Trainers Cruise

The cruise ship "Nippon Maru" will be opened for a limited time as a special "Pokemon Trainers Cruise," transforming into a luxurious passenger ship.
On the "Pokémon Trainers Cruise," there are plenty of spaces on board where Pokémon Trainers from all over the world can interact. Participants can bring their own Nintendo Switch or Pokémon Trading Card Game decks and enjoy Pokémon battles and trading in a casual atmosphere.

The venue will feature numerous photo spots, including areas where you can get a feel for Pokémon found in different regions, and a station overflowing with art celebrating the "Pokémon World Championships 2023."
