Excited to encounter a wind-up toy!
Tin Toy Museum

This museum exhibits about 3,000 tin toys that were mainly manufactured in Japan from the 1890s to the 1960s. There are a wide variety of colorful toys, such as vehicles, robots, and animals, that are truly worthy of being called art. We were also happy to receive an enthusiastic welcome from the museum's idol, Robbie!

The Tin Toy Museum is located in a quiet residential area of Yokohama's Yamate district. The landmarks are the green roof and the pink rabbit.

Near the entrance is a shopping space where you can purchase tin toys.

The back of the building is a museum.

The explanation of the manufacturing process using actual tin toys is also interesting!

Going further in, you will come to the section of foreign tin toys. Many of them are made over 100 years ago! Each one is intricately made and beautifully colored, so you will find yourself fascinated.

There are also tin toys unique to Japan that are rare to see these days.

The museum has a backyard and an open terrace.

Robbie also looks happy being able to walk around freely!

This is an art spot that can be enjoyed by both children and adults, so why not invite your family and friends to visit?
