The owner of this gallery is a doctor! Hideharu Fukasaku, Director of Fukasaku Eye Clinic, who is also an active painter, said, ``When patients receive eye treatment and can see better, I want them to experience the joy and excitement of seeing through art, which is nourishment for the eyes and soul.'' With this in mind, we opened in March 2012. It is a large and spacious space with a floor area of 160 square meters and a ceiling height of 3.4 meters.

In this way, it is also possible to display works by hanging them from the ceiling.

This gallery, which also has movable walls and can play music, is gaining popularity as a place for artists to introduce their works in a variety of ways.

At the time of our interview, the ``Picture Book Exhibition'' was being held, and goods such as picture books and picture postcards by authors were being sold in the central space right from the entrance.

The right side of the entrance is usually a museum shop space (at the time of our interview, the works of artists in a special exhibition were on display). Works by artists other than those in the special exhibition are also on sale, so be sure to check them out!

``FEI ART MUSEUM YOKOHAMA'' hosts a variety of special exhibitions and workshops, including painting exhibitions, calligraphy exhibitions, sculpture exhibitions by young artists, and picture book exhibitions. When you go to Yokohama, please take a look.
