With the unprecedented cat boom, there is a small museum that not only cat fetishists should visit. Its name is "Yokohama Cat Museum." It is a house on a quiet hilltop surrounded by Yokohama Yamate Western-style buildings such as the Ehrisman House and Berrick Hall. The first floor of the house is open to the public as a museum only on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

An adorable wooden doll is holding a musical instrument and playing it happily ♡ Other cat-related items on display include paintings, ceramics, and other cat-related items purchased by the current owner's mother, who is a cat lover, on trips abroad.

This is a cat piece by Tsuguharu Foujita, who was also known as a cat lover! His mother must have been quite the art collector.

In addition, many cat-themed items, such as accessories and bags, created by artists with ties to the museum are on display and available for purchase.

It's so cute, isn't it? The beauty of a cat's unique form is expressed in a small silver chopstick rest.

Other than this, postcards and clear files were also on sale. How about some as souvenirs?

In the back, there is a shelf like this. They are not cats, but vintage Western dolls are lined up. They came all the way to Japan from across the ocean.

Why not take a stroll through this welcoming museum in the early summer? You'll be greeted by lots of cute and funny cats.
