We are accepting applications for projects eligible for subsidies for cultural and artistic activities in Kanagawa Prefecture.
In Kanagawa Prefecture, two types of subsidy programs are available to support cultural and artistic activities: the "Cultural and Artistic Activity Group Project Subsidy" and the "Magical Development Promotion Subsidy."
Applications are now being accepted for projects eligible for subsidies in fiscal year 2025. Organizations wishing to receive subsidies should submit their applications by the deadline.
The application period for both subsidies is from February 17, 2025 to March 17, 2025 .
* You cannot apply for the same project under both subsidy programs.
● The "Cultural and Artistic Activity Group Project Subsidy" targets projects of non-profit cultural and artistic activity groups operating within the prefecture. However, projects that are expected to generate profits are not eligible for the subsidy, and the maximum subsidy amount is 1 million yen.
● The "Magical Development Promotion Subsidy" supports new projects implemented by cultural and artistic organizations within the prefecture (projects that the applying organization has not previously undertaken, or projects that add new initiatives to projects that have been previously undertaken). There are conditions regarding the content of the projects eligible for the subsidy, but there are also project options with a maximum subsidy amount exceeding 1 million yen.

[Eligible persons] Those who reside or have their main place of activity within the prefecture and who continuously contribute to the promotion of culture and arts within the prefecture.
Organizations recognized as such (including voluntary associations; however, those that operate for profit)
(Excluding organizations or public interest corporations established under the leadership of local governments.)
[Target Projects] Cultural and artistic performances held within the prefecture that are open to the general public.
Exhibitions, competitions, workshops, exchange programs, etc. (however, religious or political)
(Excludes projects with promotional intent and projects with eligible expenses of less than 300,000 yen.)

Magcal development promotion subsidy
[Target] Private organizations (including organizations that operate for profit and voluntary associations. Individuals)
Applications are not eligible.
[Target Projects] New cultural and artistic projects implemented within the prefecture and open to the general public.
However, for projects falling under Table (4) below, the subsidy period is three years from the year in which the subsidy began.
A project to prepare for public release to an unspecified number of people within a certain period.
